This course provides the experienced server-side Java developer with complete coverage and hands-on practice using the latest Jakarta Struts features. Students will learn the various Struts tag libraries and the components that provide the architectural framework. The course concludes with a discussion and exercise in developing Java Server Page custom tags and tag libraries. The students will finish by building a complete Struts-based web application on a Tomcat (or other) Application Server.
Materials in this course are fully appropriate to any of the popular Java Application Servers including Websphere, Oracle/Weblogic, JBOSS and others.

This course is designed for experienced developers familiar with HTML and Java with previous exposure to Servlets, and Java Server Pages.
Java Programming Language Basics, HTML, knowledge of JSP and Servlet Basics is required. This course is not recommended for students who do not have server-side development experience. Tomcat and Eclipse will be used during the class unless a different editor is requested.
This course is lecture with hands-on labs for reinforcement.
