Implementing and Maintaining SQL Server 2008 Analysis Services and Business Intelligence Solutions

This course will teach students to design and maintain business intelligence solutions for their organization using SQL Server 2008. They will learn how to use the SQL Server development tools to create Analysis Services databases and OLAP cubes. In addition, they will learn to implement complete business intelligence solutions from design to development to production and, finally, end user analysis and reporting.

Individuals who design and maintain business intelligence solutions and who work in environments where databases play a key role in their primary job and may perform database administration, database design, data warehouse design, maintenance, or ETL as part of their primary job responsibilities.
Individuals, including report writers, business analysts, and financial analysts, who develop applications that deliver content from SQL Server Analysis Services to the organization.
Experience navigating the Microsoft Windows Server environment. Also, experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including: SQL Server query language (SELECT, UPDATE, INSERT, and DELETE), SQL Server System tables, and SQL Server accounts (users and permissions).
