Course Summary

Course Overview

The business world is increasingly centered around the interaction of different teams, both within and outside the organization. Although you have developed skills to be successful in your field, you need to master a new set of talents to lead and manage a team of people.

A manager must have a thorough understanding of team dynamics and the principles, techniques, and strategies that make the difference between success and failure before they can effectively lead and manage a group of people.

By examining effective methods of communication, problem solving, delegation, coaching and motivation, you can prepare yourself to be an effective manager. To perform the job well, the manager must understand the different roles of everyone involved on the team, and be trained in developing the capabilities of all team members and addressing issues as soon as they surface. A leader understands their emotional intelligence and uses it in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict.

In this two-day workshop, you will learn the practical skills you need to be an effective manager and leader in your organization.
