This course will utilize a combination of instructor-led discussions, demonstrations and hands-on exercises to introduce CloudBees and the concept of Platform as a Service (PaaS) to build, run, manage web applications, and support the entire application lifecycle right from development to deployment. The development and deployment of web- and mobile-based Java applications are the basic services that CloudBees has to offer. With these services you can efficiently build and enhance applications, and connect them to existing networks and systems.

What You Can Expect

Upon conclusion of this course each participant will have acquired these skills:

  • Understand the role of PaaS and CloudBees Jenkins platform
  • Illustrate Jenkins as a tool for automation and prepare and set up a production deployment of Jenkins
  • Demonstrate how to create, manage and execute projects, and how to monitor their state
  • Illustrate Jenkins plugin environment
  • Depict Jenkins continuous quality metrics monitoring via both static and dynamic code analysis
  • Understand parameterized build feature and its usage as key building block in creating more complex workflows.
  • Utilize Validated Merge feature in CloudBees Jenkins Enterprise to allow developers to run tests entirely on the server
  • Demonstrate Pipeline-based jobs and how to use them to achieve durability, versatility and extensibility.
  • Depict the usage of ClickStack to extend the platform
  • Illustrate application execution and depict scalability, clustering and domain customization support.
