This three day course is designed to introduce students to the processes and tools required to administer an AIX system, including installation, user/group administration, storage management, security, and backup and recovery. The course is suitable for AIX 5.x, 6.x, and 7.x, covering both pSeries and BladeCenter platforms.
On completion of the course, delegates will be able to support a multi-platform AIX installation. Attendees will have a fundamental knowledge of AIX and be able to use many of the more advanced facilities.
Those who need to expand their basic knowledge of AIX to enable them to successfully administer activities to be undertaken within the AIX environment.
Delegates should have a basic understanding of UNIX or Linux and ideally some experience in the workplace. Attendance in our Unix/Linux: The Essentials course is recommended. Knowledge of a standard UNIX editor (e.g. vi) is required.
This course is highly interactive with plenty of theory reinforced with extensive practical workshop sessions.
